Recently, a viral Facebook post claimed that students from elementary, junior high school, and senior high school will begin attending classes every Saturday starting July 5, 2025. The post even used the official DepEd logo to appear credible.
DepEd Philippines immediately responded by releasing an official advisory labeling the post as FAKE and urged the public to be cautious.

“Fake news ang kumakalat na social media post tungkol sa umano’y pagdaragdag ng Saturday classes sa elementary hanggang senior high school.”
DepEd emphasizes that there is no directive or policy adding Saturday classes to the basic education schedule. They also encourage the public to always verify information through their official channels.
