Typhoon Chedeng (Maysak) now a Super Typhoon

Typhoon Maysak (International Name) has already been categorized as super typhoon by US Navy's Joint Typhoon Warning Center (JTWC) Tuesday afternoon, March 31, 2015 and will be named as Typhoon Chedeng once it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forcasted that Typhoon Chedeng (Typhoon Maysak) will make a landfall over central or southern Luzon on weekend.

Gener Quitlong, weather forecaster of Pagasa, however, said the forecast track of the storm may still change depending on the movement of the North Pacific High Pressure System near Japan.

According to Quitlong, it is already the start of dry season as northeast monsoon is no longer affecting the country.
