New Promotion Scheme for Teaching Position 2019

Teachers under the Department of Education (DepEd) are all excited in the New Promotion Scheme for Teaching Position 2019.

The said new promotion policy will address the clamors of teachers pertaining to career development. This was revealed by Education Undersecretary Jesus Mateo in an interview with Philstar last September 26, 2018.

The new scheme will enable teachers to advance to higher positions based on their achievement and compliance of the set of competencies rather than waiting for a vacancy like in the current set-up.

According to the statement of Department of Education (DepEd) representative, teachers will have a career path from Teacher I to Teacher VII (Salary Grade 11 to Salary Grade 17) and Master Teacher 1 to Master Teacher IV (Salary Grade 18 to Salary Grade 22).

“This shall also mean that teachers will no longer have to shift to the school administration career line for career growth,” it added.

2019 is also the year for the last tranche of the salary increase for teachers.

  3. sana kng ang increase ay 5k lahat na lng hindi per rank..mahirap pa work ng T1-3 eh kaysa sa head teacher at master teacher..just my opinion tas nauunahan pa mapromote un 10 yrs. na T1 pa tas etong bagu T2 o T3 na agad o Mt1?

  4. increase the salary of entry level...which teacher 1...enough n ang kasalukuyan n sahod ng MT..if MT is 18...mas ok na t1 start at SG 15..mas maraming mbbiyayaan...In reality mas mrmi png mggling n mgturo n t1 kysa MT...

  5. Kya ngshift ang MT1 to admin position ay dhil bngyn cla ng pgkktaon n mgshift..na dtiy hndj..kya naman ngaun gingwang stepping stone ang pgging MT...kya kht hndi desrve mg MT pipilitin pra mkpgshift sa admin..

MT 1 and 2 is enough..wla din nmn cla pinagkaiba n trabho sa isat isa lalo n sa teacher 1..in reality hndi nmn cla nsa instruction naka focus..hndi rin nila nasusunod ang duties and responsibilities na nksaad sa CSC Position description form 1..Ang pgging MT pa ang ngging dhilan pra umiwas sa trabho sa school dhil reality ang concept ng MT ay position leading to admin..kya pinapasa din ang maraming trabaho sa mga mas mababang rank tulad ng t1...
    Inshort the increase should priority the entry level...

At first glance, it gives new hope for the teachers not to retire as teacher 1..but given a closer look, why until teacher 7? correct me if i'm wrong but its a simple scheme not to let teachers be qualified for MT positions right away because of "quantum leap".. so, this scheme is another hurdle for teachers.. I am T-III , it took 2.5 years from the time of application, erf and salary adjustment. in QC, 45 academic requirement is no longer allowed..you have to be full pledge master's graduate to apply for TIII. People on the higher ups of Deped are really anti-teachers with this new scheme

  8. Ang laki ng sahod ng MT1 e mga teacher 1 naman gumagawa ng trabaho nila...
    Imbes na e train nila para maging magaling sa field, ginagawa nilang alila.. Peru hindi naman lahat.. :)

  9. Dpat ang laki ng salari ay proportional sa work load din,mag kaakibat un, hindi ung t1-t3 ang madaming ginagawa at turo tapos ang liit ng sahod! Ung malalaking sahod utusan at taga accomplish
    lang ang mga maliliit ang sahod at posisyon! Mas marami at mahirap na gawa un dapat ang bigyan ng mataas na sahod para iwas sipsipan at gapangan maabot lang ang mataas na posisyon dahil sa taas din ng sahod.

  10. bka po sa inyo lng.. sa skul nmin kaming mga MT preho ang teaching loads sa t1 to t3.. at mdming dagdag n tasks tulad ng pgging subject group head. kami ngoorganize ng exams, checking ng tos at test items, instructional supervision sa mga teachers, may ongoing research din.. iba pa ung nka assign kmi sa development at pag validate ng lesson plans pra starting 2019 hndi n ggwa ang teachers ng dll..un n ang ggmitin sa buong region.. may knya knya din n building n nka assign smin for cleanliness and monitoring..ang isang oras ko n bakante daily un ang gngamit ko sa monitoring.. tska kya kmi ngtpus ng masteral pra tlga mpromote and personal growth din.. pinagpuyatan,pinaghirapan at pinagka gastusan nmin un. honestly well deserved ko ang promotion ko dhil masipag ako mgturo.. ni hndi ako ngppa report sa bata.. not unless result un ng experiment nila ��

  12. Paano naman ang Head Teachers? Bakit mas mababa ang sahod nila kaysa sa Master Teachers? Master Teachers are under the direct supervision of Head Teachers. Saan ang logic dito? Dapat mas mataas ang sahod ng Head Teachers kaysa sa Master Teachers or kahit pumantay manlang yung sahod ng HT 1 sa sahod ng MT 1

  14. Ganito iyan. Kung pagbabasehan ng bagong promotion scheme ang MASTERAL o DOCTORAL, lalo na kung sa Master Teacher... mapo-promote ang mga guro na nag-aaral lang para mapromote na hindi naman talaga nagtuturo nang maayos... at TAMAD tumanggap ng ibang trabaho.
